Each year, over 200 people volunteer at the Clermont County Board of MRDD.  These volunteers assist the people we serve to enjoy active and meaningful lifestyles through day programs, evening activities, and weekend social events.

There are four categories for volunteers at MRDD:  Teens (ages 12-18), Agency (18 years of age and up), Leadership (for those who serve on board or committees), and Groups (youth groups, high school groups, Ladies Legion Auxiliary, and American Legions).

Community activities are for all teenagers and adults who are enrolled in an MRDD program, ages 13 and up.  These activities include trips to local museums, dances, karaoke parties, and much more.  Volunteers make these activities a success by hosting a dance, acting as a mentor, and helping people become involved in their community.

To become a volunteer, you must meet with the Director of Community Relations and Information, fill out the appropriate application form, and complete a background check through the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (for all volunteers 18 and up).  Once through the application process, volunteers can choose a position and start their volunteer experience.
